“The Quiet Man”, written by John Ford and starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara was filmed in the small village of Cong, the Quiet Man Bridge is a must see while you pass through. Another Irish film which has bought a great deal of fame to the small town of Leenane is “The Field” where majority of the film version of the play was filmed.
You will also pass Irelands only Fjord, Killary Fjord – defiantly a place for a magnificent photo opportunity.
