Tig Cóilí Pub
Located in Galway’s Latin Quarter, Tig Cóilí pub stands just off of Shop Street and hosts popular trad Irish music sessions. Its performances may be popular with tourists, but this is authentic Irish revelry at its finest. Music plays on a nightly basis.
It’s difficult to miss this Irish fixture. To begin with, its façade is painted in a bright, eye-catching red. Inside, the pub is decorated with pictures and posters of Irish bands and musicians who have played here in the past. This is a cosy venue, and the music certainly takes centre stage. However, there is some comfortable seating in the back suitable for old-fashioned craic (Irish for fun and conversation).
This is a family-run pub, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. You never know who will come through the door of Tig Cóilí, and you’ll see seasoned professionals and amateurs, alike, playing for the crowds.
